Kitty loves Gabriel Allon

I am known to lose myself in a Daniel Silva novel. There is something about them that seamlessly knit fact and fiction. In the last month or so, when I read, I usually have one of the motherless rescue kittens on my lap. This is one of them today.

Do not disturb

All balled up and comfy.

On a very cold night, Tiger, a.k.a. Gerger, the big kitten who wouldn’t stop eating, sleeps on my dirty laundry (but the orange blouse – formerly my uniform – is his personal blanket, well, he shares it with Kittycat).

Taken around 1:00 a.m., 4 January 2009.

Cats rule!

Indeed, a cat will rule your life. No such thing as a cat with an owner. Rather, it’s a cat and its slave.

I have been multi-tasking as usual, doing the laundry while reading and trying to organise a paper. After dinner, I had wanted to continue with the laundry when I saw a sad-looking Tiger beside the washing machine. I asked him why he looked so forlorn and he looked at the machine. Ah, right! He usually slept on top of it.

Hmmm… ok, I’ll finish the laundry tomorrow. The kitty can sleep now. Of course, his sister Hildy got on the machine as soon as I returned MY quilted comforter. It’s only there because it needs to be washed too. But now that I come to think about it, its ownership might already be in dispute.

Cats and Cars

culprit.jpg

pawprintsmall.jpgWhat is it about cats lounging on top of cars? Each time I leave my car outside of the garage, even for just a few hours I see traces of cat activity on the hood, the windshield and the roof of the car. On some occasions I catch the errant feline still on top of the car looking at me like I’m disturbing his relaxation time.

This cat did more than just spend some idle time on the car. It went along for a ride!

She had driven about 10 miles with the cat on top of the car, and didn’t even notice the feline when she stopped for gas.

Hutchinson said Cuddle Bug, or C.B. for short, had climbed into the back of her car as she was getting ready to leave. She put him out, but he must have jumped on the roof while she wasn’t looking, she said.

I guess the car roof got too boring?

Note-y cats!

Cats on my notes! Mati, Tinee and Kittycat

Mati, Tinee and Kittycat

This was sometime during the New Year. There I was reading the papers and working on my notes. I got up to get a glass of water but apparently took too long that when I returned there were three cats in various states of sleep atop my papers!

Notice how Tinee has made Kittycat her pillow. They’re bestfriends and partners in crime. Too many crimes!
