Ever since Pope Benedict assumed the papacy, there have been news articles on how he loves pets. He even has one in his home in Germany. Chico has become famous as the “Papstkatze” or the Pope’s Cat.
I have been very curious as to how this kitty looks. Now we wait no more!

The cuties will be a month-old this week. The picture above was taken last week, after they had taken semi-permanent residence in my office. They’re bigger and so much more active than they were last week. The little creatures can now climb in and out of their box. Pretty soon they’ll be underfoot all of the time. But they are really very CUTE!

We’re having a surplus of felines! Mother Tintin (sorry girls, I had nothing to do with naming her almost ten years ago ) had her kittens last week, 25 April. I initially thought she only had two but it turns out there are three, two males and a girl, if I’m not mistaken. I’m only sure about the tri-coloured kitten being female based on genetics of fur colour.
I wish we could keep all three kittens but that would mean having seven (7) cats in the house. With that number, I’m afraid they’ll starve and subject me to endless caterwauling. With the four ones right now, I’m already at wits’ end when they beg for food after two meals!
Well, I’ll probably keep one kitten. I hope there are two nice homes to take in the two.
